Sifu Andy Howse
Meet Sifu Andy
Grateful to be a Sifu
Nothing in my martial arts journey has been as challenging nor rewarding as teaching. The curriculum I teach has a methodology to teach the best martial arts possible to everyone.
But everyone is different. The martial arts that I help put into people produces results I could have never imagined. I have seen large burly dudes fight like ballerinas. And more than a few women smashing like boulders in an avalanche. It is all bone alignment in movement, and learning how to move kinetic energy in the body.
We call these ideas, these programs we train and think about Wing Chun & Escrima. But in reality, we are training ourselves. Every person is unique. The enjoyment of being a Sifu and watching students foster skill, power and confidence cannot be understated. The truth, of course, is the Sifu also learns from the student. The relationship between Sifu and Student is very deep. It is inherently divided into three relationships: A teacher-student relationship, a business relationship, and commonly a friendship. Making good Kung Fu takes a lot of work on both sides of this rapport. But it is also a lot of fun.
Sifu Andy is a 3rd Technician Level in Wing Chun Kung Fu & a 2nd Tuhon Level in Latosa Escrima. He has been teaching publicly since 2005.

Wing Tsun is a powerful vehicle for humans to liberate themselves
Most people who know and care about me would say that I am a strange person with a good sense of humor. I know that my personality is not for everyone. But for the students that are willing to put up with my bad jokes. I promise to always do my best to get the knowledge and skill in these arts into them.
This is not always easy. One of the most interesting things about teaching to the public is bearing witness to the incredible spectrum of learning. In my exsperience no one learns the same exact same way. We Human Beings are more talented than we know. It is up to our teachers, our Si-Fu’s to help us unlock this talent.
